Purpose and Function of the Customer Billing Terminal
The Customer Billing Terminal is designed specifically for commercial clients who require proper invoicing for tax and accounting purposes. Since traditional sales receipts are not compliant with tax authority requirements, this terminal offers a fast and reliable way to generate official invoices.
Customers simply scan their receipt and enter their information using the built-in keyboard. Within moments, a professionally formatted invoice is printed — ready to be submitted for reimbursement or used in financial reporting.
Identifying the Need for Invoice Self-Service
The main challenge was the significant time and administrative effort required to manually issue proper invoices for business customers. Standard receipts didn’t meet accounting or tax requirements, resulting in frequent follow-up requests and additional workload for our staff.
By introducing the self-service invoice terminal, we streamlined this process — saving valuable time for both customers and employees, while also reducing operational costs.
Keyboard Requirements for the Self-Service Terminal
Given that the terminal is used by many different individuals throughout the day, minimizing the risk of germ transmission was a top priority — a concern that became even more critical during the pandemic.
We selected a stainless steel keyboard specifically because it is highly durable and resistant to both cleaning agents and disinfectants. This allows for fast, thorough cleaning, helping maintain hygiene standards while ensuring long-term reliability.
Keyboard Selection for the Terminal
Since the keyboard had to be seamlessly integrated into the terminal housing, we opted for a built-in stainless steel model.
We started with a standard InduSteel keyboard from the GETT brand, which was then customized to match our specific functional and design requirements.
